It is official! Fallen is now a Wattpad Featured Story under paranormal!
In 24 hours, there have already been more than 100 new reads...wow.
Thank you all so much for reading this story...I cant wait to see where it goes!
Since spreading the word of each others successes and triumphs is a huge part of the Wattpad community, I will be writing articles, features and interviews with some of the authors featured in this summers Wattpad Block Party. Additional information articles, individual author interviews and more will be featured here, and on Fangirlish!
Here is the first of many interviews to come, this debut being with the amazing best seller @TawnyStokes
Check it out below!
I have exciting news!
I have been selected to participate in this summer's WATTPAD BLOCK PARTY by the lovely Kelly Anne Blount, USA Today Bestselling Author!
I am honored and excited to take part, and cant wait for the event to get under way over the month of August!
Each participant writes a piece, to be released each day of the event. One writer per day. In the end, you get a better glimpse at writing, publishing, story continuations and interviews with amazing Wattpad authors!
I haven't yet decided what I want to write about, so if anyone has any preferences, please let me know!
The sky is the limit! I can do an author interview ; an alternate ending to one of my stories ; a continuation chapter to one of the stories you all have been begging to know more (Six Degrees, Fallen) or anything your heart desires! Please let me know!
And thank you again to Kelly Anne for letting me take part! I am so excited!
Check back often for links, promos and more information as the time comes!
Any writer knows than it can be the hardest, easy thing in the world to do. There are no exact rules, as with this type of creativity, the sky is the limit. You can create a whole new world with all your own rules, mold characters and lives at your whim.
But when it comes to submitted your masterpiece to agents and publishers, the freedom of ‘no rules’ is no longer. There are tips and tricks to a compelling ms, and as I am still working through this process myself, I figured I would share the hints that I have come across!
I will narrow it down to 5 key steps!
There are countless other little tid bits to consider, such as use of adjectives, verbs and the like; reading dialogue out loud for realism, and more. But these were the ones that I found to be most important for an overall story progression and revision. Also keep in mind appropriate word counts for your genre, to keep yourself from having to cut tens of thousands of words in post revision.
Revising your work never ends. Accept that now, and keep these tips in mind as you write. Because if you are going to make an impact on the agents who consider your work, you want it to be the best it can be. You only get one shot!
So sorry for the lack of new blog posts recently, guys. I started a new job (my third) and have been kept pretty busy. I am hoping to have a new article up by tomorrow evening.
I have exciting news coming in the next couple of weeks as well, so stay tuned!
For any of us within the Wattpad community, the idea of getting to meet other writers, readers and Wattpad fanatics is exciting. To get to talk to those to have written some of your favorite works, or meet up with friends you have made on the forum, would be a great opportunity.
Well, it looks like its going to happen! Thanks to the amazing Kelly Anne Blount and Victoria James, the first Wattpad Convention is scheduled for October 1, 2016 in New York City! #NYCWattCon
No further details beyond the date have been released, but I know I for one am super excited for this event! I will post more information when it becomes available, but I urge any of you who might be able to attend to do so! Show support for our amazing writing community of Wattpad!
